Assistant Director
Megan Yarman
As Assistant Director at High Point, I do a little bit of everything to help keep our program running smoothly. I’ve been part of High Point since the very beginning, four years ago, and was involved in our homeschool co-op for 14 years before we became a hybrid school.
I was homeschooled myself, and that experience instilled in me a deep love of learning. As a child, I spent countless hours reading—especially about history—exploring with my sisters, and soaking up experiences that shaped who I am. I eventually attended traditional school in eighth grade, but when it came time to educate my own children, I wanted them to enjoy the same freedom and curiosity I had, while also ensuring a strong academic foundation.
Over the years, I’ve taught everything from elementary to high school classes, but history remains my favorite subject to teach. I love creating curriculum that sparks curiosity and makes connections across time. More than anything, though, I treasure the sense of community at High Point—how our kids and families truly know and care for one another.
Outside of school, you’ll usually find me in the garden, tending to plants and finding peace in the process. I hope that every student who passes through High Point remembers being part of a community that cared deeply for them and encouraged them to love learning.
